About team xtreem!
In 2015, the two founding fathers of Team Xtreem, Matt and Jay, by way of a combined love of cheesy 80’s hair metal and the film Footloose, embarked on a quest to try and find a way to make charity fundraising and running a fun thing to do. Through a mix of insanity and stubbornness, and meeting many like-minded individuals, Team Xtreem was born at Judgement Day goes Nuts, and epic team based event held in deepest darkest Dorking.
Since then, Team Xtreem has become a fixture at many events around the country, from Park Runs (yes we have a Park Run club), to Ultra Marathons, to the hardest of the hard endurance events and (whisper it quietly) road running races. If it involves smiling in the face of absolute madness, you’ll likely find a member of Team Xtreem.
The aim of the club is to have fun. We’re not here to be serious, we’re here to go a little crazy and drink Jägermeister (a Team Xtreem tradition since day one!). It doesn’t matter what your level is (or if you even have a level!), there is a place for you in Team Xtreem. We just want people to enjoy themselves and get occasionally sweaty and muddy. We want our members to get involved, to get moving and participate in as many slightly mad cap events as they can (and as many as our long suffering partners will let us!) in order to take the message of Team Xtreem to the world. And lets rock out whilst we do it!
